The food is excellent, and some of the dishes are unique to this restaurant. Several Yunnan-style dishes, especially those featuring vegetables and wild mushrooms, really stand out for their fresh and vibrant flavors.

Delightfully delicious! Four people ordered six dishes and we all ate everything up. All the dishes were very authentic and the flavor was very good. Extra recommendations: all the mushroom dishes. The veggies are also well cooked. Definite a worthy visit.

I had a great first experience here. The server we had was nice and made sure to let us know about specials or warn us that there may be certain dishes that may be quite spicy. You order by scanning a QR code, and I liked that it had Chinese and English versions of the menu I came with coworkers so I didn’t really know what the dishes were called, but wow it was good. Every dish we had was spicy but I was happy to the different style of preparation and different tastes. Their bowl of rice was stacked! I would definitely come back if I am looking to eat some more spicy food. It was overall a great experience here. It was a bonus to see the remodeled plaza. Until next time!

I’ve lived in this neighborhood for 30 years and I love this restaurant! I’m a fan of yunnan cuisine and this place has such good hits! Service was fast and atmosphere was lively during a weekday dinner night!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5 — Luke Qian
This restaurant highlights the bold, rustic flavors of Yunnan and Hunan cuisine, with a menu that places a strong emphasis on Yunnan’s incredible variety of mushrooms. The natural umami from these ingredients makes every dish deeply flavorful and perfect for pairing with rice. The pork kidney and throat were stir-fried to just the right texture — tender, slightly chewy, and full of flavor. The conch was another standout, crisp with a gentle sweetness. The fried rice with wild fungi and ham was aromatic and layered, rich in flavor with every bite. Service was also excellent. Our server was attentive without being intrusive — helping pack up leftovers without being asked and bringing napkins as needed before we even had to request them. Small gestures like these elevated the experience and made the meal feel especially well cared for. Altogether, the restaurant delivers an authentic and memorable introduction to Yunnan and Hunan specialties, with both the food and hospitality leaving a lasting impression.

Great Yunnan cuisine if you are adventurous and are willing to try different types of Chinese food. The place is clean and cozy. Really enjoyed the spicy dishes.

I recommend visiting Ping's Bistro with a group. They're located inside the 99 Ranch/Meet Fresh plaza off of Azusa and Colima. The general vibe here is the service is good and the food is presented very aesthetically. It felt like a fancier Chinese restaurant, but not as fancy as Sichuan Impression over on Gale Ave. Servers speak Mandarin and English. I recommend making reservations on weekends because they have a waitlist. The menu is on the QR code on each table. They allow multiple scans, but only one person places the order. The server will come confirm everything with that person. Sautéed Chanterelle, Hedgehog mushroom, maritale, cordyceps $28.99 - This dish was probably the crowd favorite. Who knew a bowl of fungi would taste this good?? Highly recommend Fried rice Agaricus Blazei & Ham & Seasonal Greens $23.99 - highly recommend this fried rice as well. We were having seconds. We ordered two orders for 8 people. Stir-Fried Chayote Leaves w Dried Chili Peppers $21.99 - This tasted like spicy sautéed garlic veggies. It was good though! This was another crowd fave. Stew Beef Combination in Copper Pot $28.99 - This dish had beef and tripe along with pieces of some kind of melon. It was cooked in spicy oil and served in a pot with a long handle, which made it delicate. I don't think I would get this again, only because I want to try other dishes. Spicy Beef Combination in Steel Pot $28.99 - The beef here was good and spicy. It had lotus root and potatoes. Shredded Cabbages w Sliced Pork in Flaming Pot $15.99 - Pretty good cabbage. I think it's such a classic that it's hard to mess up. Beef Roll w Mint $16.99 - This dish only looked appetizing but didn't really taste good. The beef was on the dry side. Dai Style Deep Fried Pork Ribs w Tomato Naimi Sauce $17.99 - This was on a picture next to the QR code menu, so we ordered it to try. I wouldn't get it again. I didn't like the deep fried pork ribs, and I didn't like the sauce. Pork ribs w Salted Egg Yolk $22.99 - We agreed this was the worst dish. I would not get this again. Steamed rice is $2.80 per bowl. Credit card/Apple Pay accepted. Free WiFi Bathroom available QR/online menu No outdoor seating Big parking lot, but often crowded (can park closer to Meet Fresh)
